A delicate feminine card, featuring a parasol with in-fill grid work and three-dimensional flowers in lilac on a pale blue background. Skills covered include embossing, colouring, gridwork and cutting. Card measures 17cm x 11cm approximately. This card is my interpretation of a design from Parchment Craft magazine.

Prepare yourself for some creative fun!!!! Let your creative juices run free this month with a non-structured workshop. There is no limit as to what you can make using mixed media products, papers and embellishments. I have made samples that you can be inspired by (if you have supplies or similar), there is no limit to your creations. You will be able to purchase from the shop bases i.e canvases whether it be rectangle, square or even round, a box, wooden heart, or anything you have at home that you would love to work on. Create different textured backgrounds using products such as liquid acrylics, acrylic paints, aqua colours, distress sprays, waxes, also crackle paste, modelling paste, stencilling and stamping.  There will be some moulds already made from resin or paper clay and also an abundance of embellishments flowers, Tim Holtz Idea-ology, chipboard, trims and lace galore, that can be purchased from Bella Paperie on the day. You will be able to create one, two or maybe more projects in the time allocated

Want to get lots of photos on a layout?  Want an interesting layout that has interactive elements that can be lifted, pulled or opened to reveal hidden areas? In this month’s class, we will create a double layout with space for 30 photos.  It has plenty of “openable” areas to showcase all your favourite photos.  This month I have used papers from the Journal range from Stamperia. Take away kits with full emailed instructions are available.

Indulge your inner wizard or witch and create a unique art journal cover, chock full of organic and interesting shapes and texture. Learn all the techniques needed to make the braided spine, and bound front plates, along with a gilded resin mirror and quirky bird skull. Plenty of room to adapt to other uses and designs within the style of the book. This is another layered and textured extravaganza from Sue Smyth, using everyday items to give a rustic, vintage feel.

Create something for the man in your life or the avid card shark in your family, using mixed media techniques. Resin shapes, game pieces and chipboard are gathered together decorate a base to form a highly textured and decorative caddy for cards, chess or checkers to display on your coffee table or bookcase. A wonderful project before Father’s Day for all the mixed media devotees.

Use this card to say Happy Birthday, Thank You or Get Well. The focus of this card is on the embossed images and simple perforating. It will reinforce the skill of embossing, common to all parchment work. The borders are created using a semi- square tool to perforate the triangle shape which is then cut around. Card measures 19cm x 13cm approximately
